What separates us humans from supreme beings?

Michelangelo — Creation of Adam (cropped)

A superiority complex, considering yourself a God while being a mere mortal. Being above others is something that we humans long for, obviously the correct answer to this, the answer that socially we must give is no, because it is the right thing to do, according to society we must consider us all equally, but deep down we seek greatness, power, it is an instinct of the human being, although we see it as something unpleasant, but it is simply like that, we carry the selfishness of always being better and being above others, we have already experienced it in the earth many times, from the beginning to the present, in medieval times people constantly lived in wars, and among the same humans they fought among themselves to conquer nations and civilizations to be able to be above others, to be kings and to have domination on people, many years later for example in the Second World War due to problems of racism, for despising others because they considered them “inferior” beings and due to that com Superiority complex broke out a great war, and the rest is history, but what I want to get to is that we cannot avoid it because unfortunately it is in our nature, we are imperfect beings that have defects. If you believe in God, he could be the only perfect one in the world.

For us human beings it is very difficult to define “perfection” because this is ideal, it is subjective, and each one can define it in their own way because for what for you may be perfect someone else may not be. If we, as the imperfect living being that we are, if had the opportunity to become something else, a higher entity that exercises power over others, we would undoubtedly take it without thinking and it is not only about obtaining power, it also leads us to know more, to acquire more knowledge of what we do not know, to get closer to the truth that we have searched so much for so many years, to this day we cannot know where we come from, what we are and why we exist, there are many questions that remain unanswered.

We yearn to know the truth of all, the meaning of life, because yeah, we know our purposes in our lives, we already have established as the law of life; grow, develop, work, reproduce and grow old and there we complete our supposed mission, but in reality, we do not know what the meaning of our lives is, why we are here, we do not know so much about the outside. This is when we realize how insignificant we are in the universe, we hardly know a small part of the universe. If we start to think about how tiny we are in front of an all-powerful, omnipotent God, or whatever you believe, if you believe in science, it always leads us to the same thing, to the ignorance that we humans have of what is beyond the earth, and how difficult it will always be for us to be able to reach that truth, obtain that knowledge and that we will never be eternal, in this life, just as we come, we will go.

For me now it is impossible to consider ourselves as superior or divine beings taking on count how vulnerable, mortal we are and how little we know, but do not get me wrong, humans are an incredible living being that despite our defects, we have many virtues, qualities, whether in whatever aspect you want to see it, such as our mind, soul, heart and our body; the brain, they are things so amazing and complex that they have taken us many years to understand them and how they work, but even so, we are such an impressive living being, so I would never rule out the probability that we can become a higher being perhaps divine, with how fast we evolve each day it could be that in the future we explore and gain new knowledge and see what is beyond life and know the truth at all.
